Chicken polyclonal antibody to Microtubule-associated protein 2 (MAP2)

Rat mixed cerebral cultures stained with CPCA-MAP2, our polyclonal antibody to MAP2 (red), and counterstained with a fluorescent DNA probe (blue). The MAP2 stains the perikarya and dendrites of neurons strongly and specifically, byt does not stain neuronal axons or any of the glia, endothelial or fibroblastic cells in these cultures. Nuclear DNA is revealed with Hoechst dye (blue). The MAP2 antibody was used at a dilution of 1:5,000, and the secondary antibody was from Molecular Probes/Invitrogen.
